High Horsepower lg Series Gantry-Style Machining Centers

Toyoda is an exclusive distributor of Awea bridge and gantry-style machining centers in the US. For extremely large and heavy work pieces, the LG series utilizes a moving overhead gantry design on the X axis located at the upper side of each massive bridge. The structural elements easily combine to give this machine the rigidity, accuracy and tremendous stability required for machining many diverse and complex applications. The moving gantry is driven by twin ball screws and double digital servo motors simultaneously. The feed systems move on rectified ball screws with pre-loaded double-nut and dual liner scales, that guarantee maximum accuracy of movement. This design helps provide a huge savings in space requirements of up to 40%. Also, the LG series offers a multi head exchangeable spindle to maximize a wider range of applications.
