Toyoda Horizontal Machining

Toyoda’s FA550 Series offers three flexible machines designed to offer varying combinations of speed and rigidity.

FH550S: FH550S horizontal machining centers are a perfect balance between speed and rigidity. The low-friction linear guides use roller bearings for twice the rigidity and three times the vibration-dampening performance of traditional ball bearings.The result is acceleration at 1 G to feedrates of 2,362 ipm.

FH550-SX: The FH550-SX offers the same high performance and balance of speed and rigidity as the RH550S, but it includes a high-torque spindle and dual drives on the Y axis.

FH550R: FH550R HMCs are powerful, precision machines. Solid boxways and a robust spindle sustain heavy cutting around the clock. To achieve critical requirements for accuracy, FH550R machines rely on special boxway slides. However, the slideway design and dual ballscrews support instant acceleration, reaching feedrates of 1,890 ipm, providing outstanding performance for a boxway machine.
